Nature Photography Workshops focus on what it is that you wish to learn or become better at. Rise to the next level and focus on how to work with light, making fine art in nature, action photography of birds, the art of getting closer to your subjects , and the secret to those award winning shots - PATIENCE.
Select from morning or afternoon shoots or a sunrise to sunset all - day shoot. Sunrise to sunset shoots incorporate photo critique or instruction mid-day and lunch.
What about bad weather? In the event of IMPOSSIBLE weather another date will be arranged for you.
Re-booking policy - In the event that you are unable to make the scheduled shoot we will reschedule. Rebooking must be done 24 hours or more in advance of your committed workshop.
What can I expect? - The world is your oyster! I base workshops on the needs of the student. My goal is to help you in your endeavor to grow in your photography. We will arrange a meeting place and usually caravan to our location. Photography students learn much from watching me work - I set up next to you with my gear. At the same time I watch you and coach you. I ask you questions that challenge you to know what it is you wish to learn better. The shoot is about many things : Artistry, technical work, and fun. ... It is really all about the experience you come away with.
Where will we shoot? - These workshops normally take place in Southeastern WI, where most of my photography is made. However, please contact me if you are out of town or out of state - ... or even out of country! I am always curious and interested in shooting in other great locations - so I am open to coming to YOU if you cannot come to me!
What do I need to bring? - Food and water ( I will pay for lunch for those of you doing a sunrise to sunset shoot), equipment you work with, a basic knowledge of your camera's buttons & settings (or bells and whistles) or your manual! - , your vehicle, a positive and winning attitude!
What does the sunrise to sunset shoot entail? - This day is set aside for you. We will plan it together, ahead of the date (ie, times, locations, etc). Lunch is ON ME at a local restaurant. Mid day you have the option for a photo review/critique of any photo prints that you wish to bring with you. Or we can discuss technique or anything else you wish to know better. The afternoon comprises more shooting. We stop when you say stop - or we go til the sun sets.
