Though the day looks as if it were a gorgeous summer day, it was a gorgeous very cold winter day. I was ready to head indoors with frozen fingers, toes and jackfrost biting at my nose. Then I saw her. The female cardinal sat and just looked at me while I spent all kinds of time photographing her. Notice all of the color detail in the female. While the males are a gorgeous red I am very taken with all the spectacular detail to color in the female cardinal. All images are Limited Edtion Prints of 8 in each size.
