Snowy Owl female at Bong Recreational Area, near Kenosha, Wisconsin. An arctic native, about every seven years these majestic creatures come down a bit south when their food supplies in the North run short. I headed out to her domain every day for 3 weeks to watch her. Many times she was no where to be seen, and suddenly as if from thin air, she was there perched at the top of a tree
